Theater - The Philippines has a rich history
in theater, ranging from romantic musicals to heroic
epics. Most theaters stage local plays or localized
versions of foreign plays. Manila has several theaters
that house the country's finest performance artists.
Even the small, independent productions are impressive,
and tourists are encouraged to view at least one show
to make the most out of their Manila experience.
Cultural Center of the Philippines
The CCP is the venue for performances of the Philippine
Philharmonic Orchestra, Ballet Philippines, and of
most gala performances, although it also has a small
theater for smaller productions.
